At Tech4Bharat, we believe in the power of hands-on learning and meaningful interactions to bridge the digital divide. Our mission is to empower underprivileged students with practical digital skills, building their confidence and opening up opportunities for a brighter future. The following page highlights some of our recent sessions and activities.

15-08-2025

Divyansh Dwivedi, Class XII, NPS Indiranagar, conducted a Cyber Safety Awareness Session for Grade IX students at Government High School, HSR Layout, Bangalore.

The 1.5-hour session addressed critical dimensions of digital security, including cyberbullying, social engineering threats, data privacy, digital identity protection, and information integrity. Students were sensitized to the dangers of phishing attacks, credential theft, and financial fraud, as well as the importance of safeguarding personally identifiable information (PII). The session also emphasized threat detection, authentication protocols, and responsible digital citizenship.

An interactive quiz reinforced key learnings, and the program concluded with the “Each One Teach One” pledge, encouraging participants to disseminate awareness and promote collective cyber resilience.

Eva Bothra conducted sessions with grade 9-12 today on digital education tools and basics of technology.

These weren’t just presentations-they were conversations. Students asked sharp questions, shared their dreams, and left with not just information, but tools to shape their futures.

When you give young minds the awareness to navigate money and the means to keep learning, you empower them far beyond the classroom.

Siya held a one-on-one session to teach someone how to use online grocery and shopping apps. She patiently explained how to navigate platforms like Swiggy Instamart, search for items, add them to the cart, and complete an order. The session helped build confidence in using technology for daily needs, making everyday tasks more convenient.

Naira conducted a short, hands-on training session was conducted to help the elderly security guard at the society learn how to operate Google Maps and perform basic searches. The session focused on practical usage, including how to open the app, search for specific addresses or landmarks, get step-by-step directions, and identify nearby facilities like hospitals, shops, and public transport.

Riddhi Gupta conducted an engaging session for younger children on basic cybersecurity, teaching them how to stay safe while using the internet. She explained the importance of avoiding suspicious links, protecting personal information, and being careful not to fall for online scams. To make learning fun, the session included interactive games like Red Light, Green Light with a cybersecurity twist, helping kids understand safe and unsafe online behavior in a playful way.

Aira Seedher and Shalini Aiyyar led a lively and interactive session on basic cybersecurity for younger children, focusing on how to stay safe online and avoid falling for suspicious links or scams. To make the concepts more relatable, they guided the children in performing fun skits that illustrated real-life online safety scenarios. Through role-playing, the kids learned how to recognize and respond to cyber threats in an engaging and memorable way.

Akshat Jain held a session for senior citizens on online fraud and scams, explaining how to spot them and stay safe. He shared tips on protecting personal information, avoiding phishing links, and securing online payments. The session ended with a Q&A, where he answered questions about their own experiences with online fraud, giving practical advice on how to handle such situations.

Following the theory session, Ishika Gupta from Class IX B of Gyankalash International School, Saharanpur, conducted a practical session in the school computer lab, teaching basic software functions. She guided students through Microsoft Word,Powerpoint and Excel, demonstrating essential features like formatting, tables, formulas, and data organisation. The session provided hands-on experience, helping students develop practical digital skills.

Ishika Gupta from Class IX B of Gyankalash International School, Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh conducted a theory session on computers, explaining how a basic computer system works. She covered its essential hardware and software components, discussing their functions and interconnections. Her session helped students understand the fundamentals of computing in a simple and effective way.

Hamza Khan organized a digital literacy session for domestic help in his area, focusing on empowering them with essential tech skills for everyday life. The session covered basics like navigating smartphones, making secure UPI payments, and using apps like Truecaller to identify callers and avoid scams. By simplifying these tools, Hamza helped participants gain confidence in using technology to enhance their financial independence, safety, and communication in a rapidly digitalizing world.

On January 4, 2025, Hamza Khan and Prajal KS from NPS Koramangala organized a session to enhance digital literacy for the akkas and other support staff at their school. The session focused on teaching essential digital skills, such as using smartphones, making online payments, and staying safe online. Hamza and Prajal provided hands-on demonstrations and answered questions, ensuring that everyone felt more empowered to use digital tools in their everyday lives.

Aira Seedher conducted a one-on-one session with the domestic staff at her home to provide guidance on using UPI payment systems and making online bookings. During the session, Aira explained the basics of UPI, helping the staff understand how to link their bank accounts, make secure payments, and use apps like Google Pay, PhonePe, and Paytm for everyday transactions. She also demonstrated how to make online bookings for essential services like groceries, transportation, and bill payments, ensuring they felt comfortable navigating these platforms.
